Journey

An Okada or a Keke Napep a.k.a Tricycle would be sufficient to move around within the city but would not be sufficient to move to another state far from yours, a bus would be better but a bus wouldn't be ok for you to make a trip into another country outside your continent, a plane would be perfect for that but you can't use a plane to move within your street, your legs are sufficient etc.
My point is, for every phase of our lives there are people we need and after that phase is over we might not really need them again. The fact that someone helped you get a job don't mean you have to marry them, the fact that I helped you a great deal don't mean we have to be best friends. Sometimes we want the people who helped us get through a phase of our lives get into the next one with us, so we try to make it work and end up frustrated.
Imagine trying to use a use a car to travel from your continent into another. Don't make sense right, that you guys were besties in uni don't mean you'd be besties forever. When certain relationships are dead with a capital letter D, don't frustrate yourself trying to make it work. Remember the illustration used, know when your journey with a person or thing is over, say thank you and don't be so addicted to a particular way of doing stuff that you're blinded to the fact that no matter how hard you try it won't work and would just keep you stagnated. Move on.

Plug-In

The light came on and it was time to watch cable television, i switched on the TV and nothing was showing, hmm what's this one called. Everything looked perfect but yet nothing was showing then i decided to check the wires and there it was, the wire wasn't connected, i got it plugged in and it came one.
Sometimes in life, things might look perfect but something isn't just right, there seems to be a vacuum which nothing can fill unless we plug into God, the chief source of life. Plug your academics, relationships, career in fact everything that has to do with you into God and by that i mean, submit it all to God and ask Him to take control and when you do that, you'd be the one to testify of the benefits. So, if your life hasn't been plugged into God yet pls pray the prayers that end this post, I cannot over emphasize on the benefits, just taste and see yourself.

Wedding Palava

If you just walked down the aisle last week, congratulations but i seriously hope you aren't doing what the person in this story did. Before i go on and this is for the records, marriages are beautiful and there are strong stable marriages but there are still failed ones which could have been avoided if they knew certain things and that's what i try to do I learn from them myself. A lady who was about to be wedded to the man of her dreams realised some months before the wedding that her husband to be was married with 2kids. The wickedness in the hearts of people is heartbreaking, strong enough to cause a heart attack, sometimes love makes us blind or maybe the rush to get married or trust, i don't know what it is but something makes us less investigative of the people we're dating or about to get married to.
During a mans burial, it was shocking to find out that this man was married to two women who thought the one man, one wife thing existed in their marriage life, only to realise that they had a co-wife wife wife and their kids had a step mom. Sad story but unfortunately these things happen. Ask questions even without the knowledge of your partner we don't want surprises springing up. Most importantly, ask for God's guidance before you get married . I pray you have the marriage of your dreams.

Motivational Monday

I don't know if you've read about Alexander Eiffel, the man who birthed and turned into reality the construction of the Eiffel Tower even when all odds were against him. There was even a protest against the tower which most people at the time called "ugly" but today, almost everybody wants to go there and take pictures as well. But this wouldn't have happened if he gave into pressure.
My question to is will you give up on your dreams of becoming somebody simply 'cos the people around you don't like you or your ideas? Before you give up 'cos of pressure, remember Eiffel, the same people who mock your dreams would still be the same people to celebrate you when you make it. Don't give up, prove them naysayers wrong. I pray God will bless your sincere endeavours In Jesus Name Amen.

The Real Deal

You know when you buy unpeeled groundnuts and peel it, the back comes out but it would be very stressful and maybe silly to try to pick the groundnut especially if its much, so the most logical thing to do is to blow on the groundnuts and the chaff just flies out 'cos they are light but the groundnut stays.
Well, that my friend is what happens when you go through challenges and trials, when the problems around you feels like they could take your life, in those times would you know who the real deal is. When the wind blows, chaff would leave, when problems come, fake friends would leave. Don't cry when they abandon you 'cos its actually for your own good. Instead of crying about the friends that left, why don't you appreciate those that stayed. Call them up today and say "THANK YOU".
If you're going through something horrible and it feels like you're alone, you are not, God is there for you, just call out to Him in prayer 'cos He's the only one who will never leave no matter what. God is the real deal cos he will never leave nor forsake you even when everything else does.

Friday Hangout

Today on Friday Hangout, we look at the story of a man trying to bury charms at the back of the ex girlfriends house, his reason is that the girl "ate" his money but the shocker is this, this man is married with 3kids, meaning the the lady was his mistress. Am totally against infidelity but my question is what was the man expecting? That the mistress would be a side chick all her life. He was cheating on his wife and expected things to turn out well for him and his mistress? Lol no sir,it doesn't work that way.
Don't get me wrong, the lady was wrong but since it was over between them why still go to bury charms. And pls guys when you say a lady "ate" your money, my question is, did she put a gun to your head to make you give her money? No, you willingly did it unless for cases where she deceived you but in this mans case, he was willingly giving her money, e pain him sha. Ladies, here's another warning, nothing good ever comes out from dating a married man.
The man was caught, beaten and stripped naked, he was also made to carry the small wooden coffin and the charms on his head. Wonder how the wife would feel.

Faithful

If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities"-Luke 10:16
Something came into my mind concerning this scripture hence this illustration. If someone asked you for 10k and you gave it to them but after some minutes, you see them squandering the money and they think you didn't see them, please if they come the next day and ask for even if its 5k, would you give it to them? No you won't 'cos in your mind, they would still waste the money. Unfortunately we've all unconsciously done this i.e being unfaithful in little things.
Let's assume you're praying to God to make you famous and then He makes you famous in your state and then all of a sudden you become proud, nobody can tell you anything, do you think God will still want to take you higher? Most times, we are the cause of our unanswered prayer, think back on ways you've been unfaithful in small things and ask God to give you another chance. Remember, if you are faithful in small... More will be given to you.

Manipulative

Everybody at one point in their lives had someone who just knew how to get to them. You could tell the whole world NO but once it's comes to them, whether you want it or not, you just say "yes". At a point, it starts getting frustrating 'cos it now looks like that person is controlling you and making you do things you don't want to do. I don't know if you're in such situation, but there's something you can do, it may be hard at first but its worth doing.
Learn to say NO without any further explanation and if they ask why, just say "for reasons best known to me, that's my final answer and don't bother pushing it 'cos I've made up my mind" try as much as possible to end the conversation at that point by walking out or dropping the call. Know the tactics they use and know how to tackle them when they use such approach. Standing up and facing them by telling them that they can't manipulate or control you is key and if they keep trying, keep resisting them. You're not a coward you can do it.

Nature

Imagine you held a bird by the wings and instructed it to not fly then you put it down and turn to leave, what do you think the bird would do? Of course we all know that the bird would fly away. Why? 'Cos its in the nature of the bird to fly.
Same thing applies to you and I, we were born into sin and that unfortunately has become our nature and that nature as time progresses can cause us more harm than good. As we all know, the end result of sin is death and an eternity in hell, what can we do as we don't have the power to change that nature. Firstly make up your mind that you don't want to live in sin anymore then ask God for forgiveness and then give your life to Christ by praying the prayer that ends this post then ask God in prayers to change you, if you do this with a sincere heart, best be ready 'cos He'll change you. Spend more time in God's presence by studying and meditating on His Word. Finally, don't feel condemned if you're not where you want to be yet, just let God work on you.

What Would You Do?

Report has it that a medical doctor returned 2.1 million Naira that was transferred into her account mistakenly. Now question is, what would you do if you were in her shoes. If it was N21,000, it would be easier to return for some people while others might even do dry fasting and prayer to seek God's face to know if they should return it or not. Some would call it manna from heaven and keep it while some would return it.
Finders aren't really keepers you know? That money came from somewhere, it didn't just drop from Heaven meaning that it belongs to someone, so when you take something that doesn't belong to you, its called stealing. You know too well that you weren't expecting such money from anybody' why don't you reach out to the bank and get more clarification. As honesty is becoming extinct, lets be the rare ones, the last breed. Guess what, you can never tell when the same thing could happen to you and you'd be grateful that someone was honest enough to return your stuff. Remember the Golden Rule, do to others what you want them to do to you.

Belief System

There's one thing i believe that controls every single person and that's our belief system. I believe in God thus my views on certain things, my views when it comes to creation will definitely differ from that of an atheist 'cos i believe God created the Heavens and the earth and they believe something else. If the devil wants to get you all he has to do is make you change your belief and that's all. If he can make you believe that there's nothing wrong in telling lies, then maybe you'd do it. Ask yourself today what you really believe but I'll encourage you to believe in God and our Lord Jesus Christ also believe in His Word 'cos that I tell you is the best belief system.

Hasty Conclusion

I was in the car with my uncle whose last child is older than me with more than 5years but in spite of how old my uncle is compared to my age, we can still talk and laugh. You know that uncomfortable silence when you're with an elderly person it doesn't happen when am with him.
So he was driving me to my soon to be apartment and my side of the window was down so you could see me properly if you look in just then an elderly woman gave me a hateful look and mouthed the words 'tufia' which means God forbid i immediately wound up the window 'cos she looked like she was thinking of spitting on me and dragging me out through the window. In her mind, i was some husband snatcher hanging out with a man older than my dad.
It was around 4pm when this happened and I was wearing a gown which was decent but here's what I think that made her react that way... I was talking and laughing with him which for some reason she feels is not OK and normal, next was the car had a Government house plate number so she thought i was hanging out with a rich politician and finally I think she has seen cars like that come and pick and drop girls lol. Mind you i don't even live there, we were just taking that route to my apartment which was still far from there. Maybe her daughters marriage to a politician was in shambles 'cos of young girls flirting with her son in law, I don't know but here's what i know...
At a point in our lives , we have come to the wrong conclusion over matters that we didn't even bother asking questions about, just by mere looking, we jump into the wrongest of conclusions. Things would be more better if we are not so quick to jump into conclusions, don't you think?

Hungry

I recently started liking one biscuit like that but i found out that I enjoy it more when am hungry than when I just feel like chewing something. The way you would look at a plate of food when you're satisfied is not the same way you'd look at it when you're hungry and that was the only food available, I tell you, you'd eat the food gradually and relish every spoon that enters your mouth and you won't stop till you see the "Made In China". Hope you're not hungry now lol.
Some people don't enjoy studying the Bible 'cos they don't come hungry, if you actually study the Bible having this in mind "I really want to hear or get a Word from God" you'd enjoy it more. I always get myself excited to read God's Word 'cos I know there's always something for me and whether I've read that particular scripture 100times, I always read it like I've never read it before.
Be excited and hungry for God's Word, that way, you'd enjoy spending time in God's presence and get the life out of the Bible.

Wedding Palava

If you just tied the knot, congratulations! I pray you have the marriage of your dreams and I also hope you're not the man in this story btw, this is a true life story.
*This man had been dating this girl for some months and had even engaged her. So this guy normally comes to visit her during the weekends and would sometimes sleep over. So one saturday morning, he got dressed ready to leave when the lady asked him where he was going, then she recieved the shocker of her life. The guy brought out his own wedding invitation card and told her that he was going for his wedding and then he left, his car still parked in her compound but but he never returned.
I still cannot wrap my head around this story like do some people still have a living conscience, now the wife might think that the she was getting married to her prince charming, not knowing that he just left his other girlfriend shocked and bitter before coming to tie the knot. My question to stories like this is always, why why why?
Even those involved in this cannot give a reasonable answer to that. This kind of act can get you stabbed to death if you do this to people as mean as you are, so another question is, is it really worth it? You will not go scot free, I tell you, so why don't you just stop that callous act now.
Finally, its always good to seek God's leading and direction before you say "I do" 'cos some people are just walking around with dead hearts and consciences looking for hope, dreams and hearts to crush.

Motivational Monday

Don't wait till you have the traffic wardens uniform before you control traffic. Many thanks to the men who take it upon themselves to pack their cars and come out to control traffic when there are no wardens available. Most of us are waiting till we get to a certain height before we can do anything positive, now my question is what if you never get there?
Not everybody can be the president or governor but in your own corner, there's something you control. You can make a huge difference even in that your little corner, don't wait till you become great, start now. As you positively affect the world , I pray that God will crown your efforts with success. Hyperbole

I know that the word "hyperbole" which is a figure of speech is actually pronounced as hyper-ball-le and not hyper-ball but I find it uncomfortable saying the right thing 'cos people might look at me funny and maybe even mock me. They might say am saying the wrong thing and 'cos majority of them don't know the right thing, the wrong thing seems right so I'd rather just say the wrong thing for peace to reign.
How many times have we stopped ourselves from doing the right thing simply 'cos majority of people around us might look at us funny and call us 'churchy'. Because everyone is doing it doesn't make it right you know! If you cannot stand for what is right 'cos you're scared of people reactions then remember that one day those people won't be there. Keep doing what's right, people will get used to it, it might not be easy at first, but you just have to stand your ground. And as i have decided to pronounce hyperbole the right way no matter the weird reactions i might get, also make up your mind to do the right thing according to God's word.

Hallelujah Challenge

Whether you do good or bad, you'll definitely have lovers and haters and having this in mind, I vehemently refuse to read or react to any negative comment concerning the Hallelujah challenge. The #FreeEvans is really nauseating like why are people like this, if you've ever been kidnapped or paid the ransom or even known someone who has been kidnapped, you wouldn't dare to trend that tweet. Have we forgotten what the families of those kidnapped by this man went through and how most of them were impoverished 'cos of his callous acts and you have the guts to say #FreeEvans smh.
His wife made a video and all of a sudden his crime means nothing, some of you trending that hashtag would watch a recharge card thief being burned to death and scream 'it serves him right, next time he won't steal, then turn a blind eye to this particular heinous act. If there were no consequences for evil, then there would be nobody left on earth 'cos we would all kill ourselves. He has been forgiven but he should go to prison and face the consequences .

Never Slow

I use this particular network that can be very slow when it comes to browsing but when its kept in a particular place, it works very fast. Then I went somewhere and was amazed and impressed at how fast this particular network was sometimes when its slow, i just want to dispose it but then i remind myself of how nice the network can be. Some have all the networks just in case one seems slow 'cos we humans tend to be very impatient.
Sometimes, it seems God is slow in granting us our heart desires and we start to think of going to other places to get help. A man joined a secret society and openly told anyone that cared to listen that he did it 'cos God wasn't coming through for him. Very dumb and time wouldn't allow me tell you how miserable that man is today. God is never slow, if He could make the heavens and the earth and everything inside of it and man inclusive in just 6days then what makes you think that He won't solve your problem in a twinkle of an eye.
God is 100% reliable but sometimes He makes you wait just to see what you would do. I don't know what you're going through but i want you to remember the many things that God has done for you then hold on and keep on trusting Him, God will definitely come through for you. Maybe you left God 'cos you thought He was slow and you're regretting, its time for you to ask God for forgiveness, give your life back to Him by praying the prayer that ends this post, then make up your mind to always hold on to God.

Delay

Few years ago, i wanted to seriously buy a phone that i really liked so i got ready to go buy it and my mum said we wouldn't go that day to buy it, oh? I felt very bad but i kept my cool and waited, tomorrow isn't that far. The next day came and i happily met my mum and that day, we went but something happened that left me speechless even when i think about it. We got there and i wanted to buy a phone that wasn't my heart desire but that was the phone that was up to the amount we had but then i decided to ask the man that was selling it how much the phone i desired cost, but the price he called was the same amount we had but here comes the shocker, he said they just changed and reduced the price that morning. Even till today, whenever i think about that day am just in awe. If i had gone the day the day i wanted to go, i wouldn't have gotten the phone I wanted.
What we see as delay can just be God's way of making us wait 'cos He has something better for us but sometimes out of our impatience, we settle for less than what God has for us. Let's learn to always trust God, He knows better and has better plans for us. If you've gotten yourself into a deep mess due to impatience, don't hesitate to ask God for forgiveness and also ask Him to help you.

"Just wedded" was the sign on the the plate number just then the door of the car swung open with the bride dashing out of the car and the groom chasing after her, the man tried to hold her but then she slapped him and ran off while the guy immediately ran after her.
Am just wondering, what happened? Here are my guesses, maybe he told her a very horrible secret which she couldn't bear or maybe she decided she wasn't ready for this married life but whatever the reason, i pray you never experience such and please try to not do things that might cause that to happen. Finally, before you say "i do" make sure you're ready. And to the married ones, God bless your marriage.

Motivational Monday

Back then in school during exams, if an exam was very tough and I was discussing with my very intelligent coursemates who didn't find it hard at all, sincerely speaking, it makes me uncomfortable but if an exam was cheap for me and I meet with them after the exam, I feel ok 'cos we speaking on the same level. So whenever an exam was tough I analysed the toughness with those I knew it was tough for just to feel like am not the only one. People join golf clubs not cos they're interested in golf but just to meet with the rich people and blend into their circle.
My point is this, you cannot hang out with people that are on your level and expect to grow 'cos they don't push you to be better but if you're broke lets say and you hang out with wealthy people, you're pushed to work harder. The Bible even advises that if you want to be wise, you gotta hang out with the wise. Look at the people you surround yourself with and if they don't make you want to do better' do yourself a favour and find a new circle. I pray that God will crown your efforts with success this week In Jesus Name Amen.

Original Plan

I had a need for a macro sim but i didn't have the patience to go and get it cut so i decided to cut it myself, lol very silly idea. So i started cuting it and guess what, my phone was no longer detecting my sim card, i had to put it in a very awkward positition for it to work, i was scared of touching the sim card slot, it wasn't fun at all so i had to do a welcome back, what i was even doing it for, i didn't end up doing it again.
We all have a set way for us to make our journey through life as directed in the Bible, God has a set way He would want you to follow, but He gives us the freedom of choice to either follow His plans or ours and most times we choose our plans over God's perfect plan for us. And just like I tried to distort the original size and shape of the sim just to suit my needs that's how we try to do it our own way and end up living miserable lives. Whenever we deviate from God's original plan, we end up miserable sooner or later. We've all made that mistake and that's why you have today to retrace your steps and give your life, plans and will to God and ask Him to lead you according to His perfect plans for you when He created you.

Today I'll be talking about tests as it has to do with relationships. So a twitter user said if you go to meet your mum inlaw to be and she offers you 4 pieces of meat in a food, that you shouldn't eat all, its a trap. Lol well if that's a test, then i'll fail that one, sorry. I was trained to always finish everything on the plate 'cos nobody is a dog to eat your leftover and you won't waste it either so don't give me food if you don't expect me to finish it.
There are various types of tests before marriage, some test you to know if you're faithful or not, while some test how good you are in handling cash, some test your caring and cooking abilities while some want to know if you can get pregnant which i think is dumb and is a no no for me, carry your marriage and be going, thank you sir. Sometimes, these tests turn out good or bad.
A man told his best friend to test his girlfriends faithfulness by asking her out and today his best friend is married to his girlfriend. A woman tested her boyfriends faithfulness and he passed the test today they're married with kids. A man tested his girlfriends ability to get pregnant and she got pregnant then weeks after the wedding, she had a miscarriage, she hasn't taken in since then. I could go on and on but thing is some tests are necessary while others are just so unnecessary . Whether i will test or not is a personal something what's more important is to pray to God concerning your life partner, He'll show you what to do 'cos some people are good at pretending that they'll pass your tests excellently and when you finally get married to them you see a different person.

Daily Guide

Imagine you were given a list of food items to buy in the market and it goes like this. Crayfish N150, 1tin tomato N40, orange N100 but then on getting to the market, you spot ice fish and you look at your list and decide to buy icefish of N300 then you buy fresh tomato N200 and then fruit juice of N450.. Your first list was worth N290 now this 2nd one is worth N950 and you were given N1000 and your transport fare is N200, of course you know you will be stranded in the market. Then you think you've done a good job only to go back home and get the beating of your life. I know you'll be thinking, why did he or she alter the list and buy what they didn't ask them to buy and you'd agree with me that such people can be best described as i too know (ITK).
But let me shock you, you and I are like that that too, God has given us a list of things to do in the market called life but then something catches our eyes and then we dump God's own instructions and do it our way 'cos we think we know better and then we get stranded and start to blame God when it was actually our fault. The problem with we humans is trying to think that we know better than God, look where it has landed us.
God's Word, The Bible has been given to us as a daily guide to lead us through life so that when we meet the Lord face to face, He can say "well done my faithful servant". According to Joshua 1:8 make meditating on God's Word a priority in your daily life.

Travel Guide

I don't know how true this story is, but i'll share it nonetheless 'cos there's something to be drawn from it. So a lady was on her way to see someone in a place she was totally new to. She got on an okada and gave the man her phone to speak with the person she was going to see so that he could explain better to the okada rider , which is actually the normal thing to do but that was how she got kidnapped. The okada guy knew she was totally new to that place and cashed in on her ignorance, he asked for a 500,000 Naira ransom but after he got paid, the lady is still nowhere to be found. Sad story indeed but here are the lessons.
Its a pity we can't trust anybody again and as the world gets more evil everyday, you really have to be smarter and learn from stories like this. I've learnt to never act like i don't know my way but before I start any journey, I always ask for straight to the point understandable directions and if i ever get confused, I go to shop owners and ask for directions, I try not to ask passersby. I also make sure to ask for landmarks so that I would know am going in the right place when I see one. Please just drop the English and the forming, If you're new to that place, it's better to use pidgin if you are not familiar with their local tongue.
Bottom line is this, try not to give the impression that you're a stranger in that place and most importantly, always commit your journey into the hands of God because he is the best security.

Create Your World

Did you know that the tongue is the strongest muscle in the body? Unbelievable right? Well, that goes a long way to show us that the Bible is 100% correct when it says that Life and death lies in the power of the tongue. I'd like to share my personal experience relating to this.
I like watching soap operas but am not that patient as to follow it day by day. I'd rather just buy the movie and fast forward to the end, what do you mean by keeping me in suspense everyday. Lol. So one day after the days soap opera, i said out loud''i wish i won't watch this soap opera tomorrow' but in my mind i made that comment wishing to sleep off before the soap opera starts. The next day, as it was getting to that time, nepa took the light and guess what, no matter how much we tried, the generator never came on that night. Then my aunt looked at me and said "you know you're the cause right" and after that day it dawned on me that I should be careful with the words I speak.
Genesis 1:3 And God said "let there be light" and there was light. God formed the whole world with the words of His Mouth and since we're created in God's image and likeness then we are to follow God's ways and create our world be speaking positively.

When Rejection= Protection

Most times we think that rejection is the end of the world but if you can try to think of times when you were rejected and how bad you felt, now pause, fast forward and think of how you were actually protected when you were rejected. Don't get it yet? Let me eyplain better with this illustration. A guy wanted to hang out with the so called big boys so badly but the guys rejected him. Weeks down the line and the news came that the guys were killed when they went for robbery attack. Was that rejection not for his protection?
Life is something we can't understand, most times we're protected when we're rejected which when the rejection is happening makes us feel really bad but after, we get to realize it was for our own good. I don't know what you want so badly but you constantly get rejected instead of getting angry with God, why don't you see it as God protecting you from something disastrous.

It's For Your Own Good

My dad would always tell me that I was doing myself a great favour if I read and pass my exams but at that time, I thought I was doing him a favour, years down the line and I actually realized i was doing myself a huge favour taking studies seriously.
Most of us think like I did years ago, we think that when we're asked to read the Word of God or take the things of God more serious, we're doing God a favour but we forget that God is already in Heaven and doesn't need to work His way to Heaven. We're the ones that are working our way to Heaven and we aren't even sure we're gonna make it there. When you're asked to do good and obey God , don't think you're doing God a favour, He has everything already, you and I are the ones that need a whole lot of help, we're doing ourselves a huge favour when we do the things of God. So when you're asked to give your life to Christ, do it for your own good.

Trust Issues

I don't have much to say, but all i can say is that the people i've trusted so much to the extent of telling them my secrets end up using it against me and I seriously doubt if I can really trust anybody again. I was in a relationship with someone and i couldn't tell him about my past. It didn't end well as i was hiding so much from him. I want to know when its okay to tell someone your secrets.

Its hurts to know that people put other people in situations like this simply 'cos they don't know how to do something as simple as shut their mouth. In the area of love, its better and safer to tell a promising husband or wife before you actually say "i do" its better they know the real you and then still go ahead with the marriage than when you get married and they start to find out stuff about you which may end up as a broken marriage or even worse, divorce.

Doubt

Am not a pilot and i don't know much about planes hence this thinking. Many years ago, people never believed that anything other than birds could fly and I kinda understand their thinking which i think was the reason why the first guy who had the idea dumped it 'cos it looked impossible.
Most times we overthink things and kill it with our doubts and that's one tool the devil uses, "doubt". Doubt is the reason people are atheist or don't believe the Bible or the fact that Jesus came through a virgin birth, died, resurrected and He's coming back again.
One day many years ago, i sat and thought about what will happen after the final judgement and what forever would feel like, i got scared. Years later, the same thought came in and I immediately rebuked it saying "GOD KNOWS BEST, He'll take care of it". My little cousin jumps from the bed although she's just a year and some months old, imagine she said to herself "my legs aren't long and if I jump, i might break my leg" it wouldn't be fun for her at all. Life is easier when you have faith in God and trust Him wholeheartedly . I can tell you how much easier life got when i started trusting God but that would be next time. God is real and everything the Bible says is true, don't let the devil fool you and when next he brings thoughts to make you doubt GOD , JUST TELL HIM "GOD KNOWS BEST, He'll take care of it" then take it out of your mind.

Selfless

Human beings are naturally selfish and self centered, its all about me, me, me, I, I, I, no space for anybody else. Sorry to burst your bubble but honey, the world doesn't revolve around you.
I was in a bank one day and then an elderly person walked in and the seats were all occupied, i couldn't sit while she stood, so i gave her my seat, I didn't get any reward per say and in actual sense that's not why i did it but i did it 'cos that was the right thing. Its almost nauseating when i see elderly people or pregnant women, kids or physically challenged people standing while strong teenagers, youths and adults sit, ya'll that's so wrong. Let's all learn to be selfless, little things like opening the door for the person behind you, offering help to the needy, visiting the orphanages and old people's homes etc and while doing this, don't expect any form of reward 'cos then that defeats the purpose. I tell you, when you start being selfless you start to feel some kind of joy in your heart. So start being more selfless and less selfish.

Motivational Monday

If only the lady that sells fruits on my street knew how i felt when she wasn't around when i needed to buy fruit, she would always come out on time and that made me talk about this. You might not know how important you are even in that your little corner and 'cos you dont know, you start to look down on yourself.
No matter who you are, you are important. Just imagine there were no street sweepers or traders in the market, the thought of that makes me uncomfortable, so my dear, whether you know it or not, you are important, have this kind of mind and put your best into your work knowing that somehow somewhere, what you do affects someone. Thankful

Let's imagine that you bought someone a priceless jewel which they loved so much and wanted so badly although they couldn't afford it. Immediately they received it, they took snaps of it, showed it off to friends but never said "THANK YOU". I don't care how cold your heart is, I put it to you that you wouldn't like such.
Life is precious and priceless, money can't buy life "cos if it could, no rich person would die, God wakes you up every morning and the first thing you do is to go on your phone and do what you think is more important to you and then a whole day goes by and you never said "GOD, I THANK YOU FOR LIFE". Most times we don't see the importance of what we have till we go the hospitals and see people battling for their lives spending their last dime to make sure they survive, maybe then you'd be more thankful. Don't wait till you're on your sick bed before you realize how much God is doing for you. If you haven't given, please go on your knees now and thank God for the life he has given you.

Grave Clothes

Remember when Jesus rose Lazarus from the dead, Lazarus came out with grave clothes which ofcourse was expected 'cos he had been buried but after He came out, Jesus told them to take off the grave clothes which if not taken would have made people run away from Him 'cos of the scary look and the bad stench.
Most of us have been saved, but we still carry around with us the stench of the past and 'cos we were so hurt in the past, we unconsciously scare people away from us. Just as Jesus directed the grave clothes to be taken off, He's also asking you to let go of the past failures, troubles, sin etc and embrace the new life He died to give you. Let's not forget that Lazarus wasn't the one that did it himself, it was people around that helped him and that's why its important to first ask God to help you let go of your past and also, always talk to someone preferably an older person you can trust.
Let's imagine Lazarus started running when people wanted to help him out, he wouldn't have gotten rid of the grave clothes and could have a skin infection thereby starting another round of problems. So my dear, you gotta open up yourself to God for Him to help you 'cos He's always ready to help you. The first step is to confess your sins and ask for forgiveness and then give your life to Christ too by praying the prayer that ends this post then ask God in prayers to help you.

Attitude

Some of us are very pretty or handsome and we get the spouse but can't keep a family. Some of us have the right qualifications to get a job but can't keep the job. I could go on and on but my point is this, most of us have very terrible attitudes.
A man got married to a very beautiful lady but their marriage couldn't last, 'cos the woman nagged, stopped the man's family from visiting, wouldn't attend to his needs etc. I'd rather work with a not too intelligent person who is hardworking and nice than work with an Einstein who's lazy and so full of himself. There's so much to life than a pretty or handsome face, your beauty attracted them, but your attitude would either keep or drive them away. Put off that bad attitude, you look better with a good attitude.

Choice

A young guy was told to choose between his dad who was a very wealthy man and one of the many riches of the dad. Before i go on, i want to ask you, if you were in the shoes of the young guy, what will you choose? As for the guy, he chose the dad. Why? He knew that if he had the dad, he had everything. Most of us might go for one of the many riches which when its gone, you're left with nothing.
God owns everything in Heaven and on Earth but its left for you to choose God and get everything beautiful in life and after this life or you choose one thing you think is more important than God and end up with nothing. The choice is yours. You choose God when you give your life to Christ. To do that, pls pray the prayer below.

Walk In Their Shoes

My neighbour put on their generator that morning and in my mind i was like "pls just put off this noisy generator" and when it finally went off, i was very happy. Then one day, my battery was down and i really needed to charge, just then i heard my neighbours gen come on, oh the joy i felt, i immediately rushed to go charge my phone and i prayed they keep it on for some time. The noise didn't matter anymore. And from that day, i understood that you criticize certain things not knowing how helpful it is to others.
Don't know if you've ever had a neighbour that wakes up by 3 or 4am and starts praying aloud with pain and agony, you could easily get irritated by it and sometimes cuss at the person, then unfortunately, you then go through what that person was going through and even pray louder than they did. Life has a funny way of teaching us lessons, life would allow you walk in the shoes of someone you mocked Just so that you can you have a taste of what it feels like to be in such situation. Let's all be careful.

Desperate

What you're about to read is a true life story and i was permitted to share it.

Before my 100 level 1st semester result came out, i was really praying to God for a good result and i made promises up and down. Finally, the results came out and it was good but then i didn't fufill my promise and i boasted in my heart saying afterall it's not God that gave me this result, i did it myself?. I tell you, I never made up to that in the next semester and even in other levels, no matter how much sorting i did, my results were never as good as that 1st one until i got to my knees and begged God to forgive me, then out of His mercies, He gave me a good result, better than others.

Just like the person in this story, we make all sort of promises when we need something from God, that's when we start fasting and praying and reading the Bible but after we've gotten what we need, we forget God and start boasting that we did it ourselves . God cannot be joked with, next time, He'll let you do it on your own and after you've failed, you'll then realize what a mess you are without God. And if you find yourself in such situation, God is still waiting for you and Thank God He's merciful and always ready to forgive. Just wholeheartedly and sincerely ask God for forgiveness and you have to make up your mind to always give God the Glory whenever something good happens in your life, in addition to that, its necessary to rededicate your life to Christ, pls pray the prayer below and if you're not yet Born Again, pls do the same as well.

Domestic Helps: How They Should Be Treated

Firstly, i find the word "housemaid" very derogatory, secondly, domestic helps are human beings also, no doubt, there are bad domestic helps and if you find out they are bad, its better you send them out than maltreat them but they're also good ones and these ones even get very harsh treatments from their bosses.
So i read that a woman locked her help in the toilet for 20days, add 10days to that and that's a month, I can't even wrap my head around it, like how can you go to bed in peace knowing that you locked a little girl in the toilet for nothing serious. Some people don't know that in a very unspoken subtle way, your life can be affected positively or negatively by your dosmetic helps.
A man once sent his driver to buy him food, and the driver was paid by some people to poison his boss but after he remembered how kind his boss had been to him, he declined and confessed. It was Namaan's domestic help that gave the advise that brought about his healing, just imagine he treated her bad. It was also the slave of the guys that raided David that showed David the way to to find his master and destroy them, why? 'cos the master abandoned him and left him to die but then David found him and treated him right.
Treat your domestic helps like you would treat your kids and if you start to feel threatened by them, the best thing to do is to nicely send them packing, don't start treating them like animals.

Humility

The humble get the help means that its only a humble person that can actually tell you that they can't do it and that they need help. Sometimes, we have this 'i can do it, i don't need your help attitude' and we just end up messing the whole thing up.
I went out one day and got stranded, no money on me and I couldn't trek cos it started raining heavily, the distance from my house to that place is like 2hours, that's if there's no traffic jam. Trekking back was not even on the list and the worst part was that i didn't know anybody there. The only reasonable thing to do was to ask someone to help me with money, yes, i felt embarrassed, no jokes but i just had to do it. I learnt my lesson and made sure to always go out with extra money.
But did you know that some people would rather trek under that heavy rain than ask for help. Most times we even try to form boss man for God, we want to let God know that we can do without Him. Lol one very good day, you'll realise how wrong you were and then that's when you'll start to cry out to God. I don't know what it is that has left you frustrated, nor do I know how many times you've tried to do it on your own and failed but what i know is that, God is Able to help you if you would ask. Takeaway that pride that is causing you a lot of harm and get on your knees today and ask God to help you. Humility is a good virtue.

So this lady had been dating this guy for 14years, wait don't be in a hurry to know what happened that you miss the fact that i said this lady dated this guy for 14years, let me just break down what 14years means, from primary 1 to 5 is 5years, from js1 to ss3 is 6years that is 11years, add 1more year to the remaining 3years and the person has graduated from the university just wanted to eyplain how many quality years went by.
So back to their story, this guy woke up one morning and decided he didn't want to get married to her, what did the lady do? Well, she immediately went to a native doctor and whatever he did for her, l don't know, all I know is that the guy engaged her and they're about to get married. Whether you believe in juju or not it's not necessary 'cos the lady openly boasted to her friends about it and when she was asked what if the scales should fall off the guys eyes, she said no problem , that by then she would have had kids for him and her kids would get the inheritance. That statement alone goes to let you know that she's not doing this for the sake of love but for the mere reason of covering her shame, i can just imagine her thinking of how many years she had wasted and how old she was now and all the guys she rejected 'cos of this guy and how people would laugh her to scorn and she just had to act fast. And guys, if you know you have no desire to marry, pls stop tagging her along. Ladies, pls be smart and wise to know when a relationship is not heading to any reasonable destination, get off that. Get off that ship before you drown. BTW, what she did was very wrong

Motivational Monday

They say a journey of a 1000 miles starts with a step but i think that these days people want to complete that journey with just a step and that's all. Kids want to get to their play dates, birthday parties etc as fast as possible, they'll keep asking 'are we there yet?' and suprisingly, that's how most of us are. We start something and expect that by next week, we'd become millionaires and that's why we fall prey easily to people who promise to make us rich under a week.
In life, there'd be seed time and harvest but harvest doesn't come immediately you sow the seed. Don't give up on that project yet, just hold on and keep working on it, one day you'll be glad you didn't give up. Patience is a very good virtue, for the patient ones don't fall for scammers who only promise to satisfy the thirst of impatient people. I pray that whatever good and geniune thing you lay your hands to do this week must prosper In Jesus Name Amen.

Give It Up

If you've ever had a skin infection, medical experts would always advise you to stop wearing the clothes you wore when you still had the infection to avoid reoccurance, this advise comes after you've been cured of the infection. If you however love those clothes so much that you don't care what happens and you go back to using them, the infection is bound to come back and even worse this time around.
Most of us want to change but cannot even after we've given our lives to Christ 'cos we aren't willing to give up our old habits and friends that make us fall back into sin. Once a person is saved, the next thing such person would want to do is to introduce their friends to God but in such case whereby your friends don't want to change, its better to keep them at arms length 'cos sooner or later, you'd find yourself doing what you vowed not to do and start to wonder where it all went wrong. If you give up negative influences and friends for Christ's sake, God will bring better people your way.
Stop thinking you owe your friends any explanation for doing what's good 'cos you're the one who's gonna be affected when things go wrong. No friendship is worth going to hell for, so just look at your life and ask yourself who is actually derailing you. Your friends have so much influence on you than you can imagine .
If you've not given your life to Christ simply 'cos you don't want your friends to look at you funny, now is the time to do that, years from now, they'll be the ones calling you to pray for them and if you have backslidden due to friends, pls also pray the prayer below.

When The Past Calls

There was a boy named Jasper who never liked going to school so one morning, he told his mum there wasn't school that day and he stayed home. It was getting to time for JASPERS SCHOOL TO close for the day and just then his mum decided to go to the market, Jasper knew that if his mum goes out' she would see his classmates coming back, so he started stalling her. Nice story right,well it was just an illustration to lay the foundation of what i want to talk about. Just like Jasper did, the devil keeps telling you lies to stall you from moving forward. He replays your past over and over again for you to try to convince you that you can never have a better future, don't you think he doesn't want you to see something wonderful about yourself? You still have a bright future ahead of you don't let the devil steal it. Leave the past in the past and move on. God can help you get over your past if you will ask him sincerely in prayer.

I was an innocent girl roped into something i never planned. My friend introduced me to a man i didn't know was married, it was when i saw the picture of his beautiful wife and kids that i found out. We shared a kiss which i tell you, I regret doing something that wicked and stupid. But I didn't get intimate with him and never saw him after that day. And everyday since then, i think about that day and fear grips my heart, i don't want to think of karma hitting me back, i pray it doesn't.
The mere thought of my boyfriend cheating on me, hurts worse than words can say then talk more of my husband, a man I've vowed to be with till death do us part.
My heart feels like it could come right out of my chest just thinking about it. It was only a kiss, but i still regret till date. I never had this mindset then but now am older I wish I knew then what I know now.

Without mixing words, its wrong to have an affair with a married person.Imagine you got married to the love of your life who you're ready to die for and the same thing you did with another woman's husband repeats itself only this time around, you're the one suffering just like that woman did 'cos your husband is doing the same thing with a lady that you did with anothers husband. Rise

If you put a straw that isn't the length of the container into the container, you'd have to use your hand to bring it out but if you put enough water the into container, without having to do anything' the straw will automatically come up.
That straw is you and I while the container is life and unless you daily fill your life with God's Word (water) , you'll struggle coming up in life and even when you do, you end up falling back down 'cos there's nothing to keep you there. When I talk about coming up in life, am not talking about acquiring material things, no, am talking about things money cannot buy. Mind you, the Bible is the only Book that has everything and it isn't boring at all, so maybe you want to start reading the Bible but don't know where to start, i suggest you start from the Gospel of John, you'll be glad you did. Always fill yourself with God's Word daily, its for your own good.
Ask God to fill you with a hunger in his word.

Different

Let's imagine that you live in a very hot environment, ofcourse its natural for you and sensible also to wear clothes that are free in the sense that they allow air to touch your body. Seeing a person on thick cardigan would almost be impossible as the person might just be a stranger in the land.
One day, you had to leave your land to a very cold environment, let's say you didn't know how cold that land was, so you went with your "free" clothes. Common sense let's you know that this is a different land which means that those "free" clothes wouldn't be needed here and those thick cardigans you abhorred were infact what was needed if you wanted to stay alive. Your cousin who lives in this cold land buys you thick clothes but you refuse to use it 'cos you aren't used to them, well sooner or later such person will come down with a cold which could lead to death.
Why all this illustration? Am trying to paint a picture of two worlds, the hot land being the unbelievers world and the cold being the righteous world, you can't claim to be Born Again and still act like you used to before you got saved, something in you has to change, ofcourse you can't change yourself and that's where God your cousin in the illustration comes in.
God has shown you the way to live right through His Word, The Bible and He also wants to change you but if you insist on doing it your way, you won't last long and before you know it, you're back to your old ways even more frustrated. If you say you're saved, then there should be a huge difference in your life so sit back and compare your life before and now, if you notice any good change, Thank God but if none, ask God to help you or maybe you need to pray the prayer below, if you haven't given your life to Christ at all, do well to pray the prayer too.

Bad Relationship Pattern

I didn't take this pattern of a thing as anything till i took out time to think of my past relationships and found that the same thing was repeating itself. My other boyfriend slept with a very close friend of mine, the other one did the same thing too, like 3 of my exes went out with my friends while we were still dating. And i tell you, it kind of bothers me 'cos my friends are not better than me to the point that the guys who profess so much love for me cheat on me with them. Funny thing is that later on, these guys still tell me about it. Now am confused, should i change my friends which would be quite difficult to do as i have known them all my life or should i stop introducing my love interest to my friends.

For me, I think you've already answered the question, change your friends. And for the record, those girls aren't your friends 'cos a friend wouldn't do such. It doesn't matter how long you've known a person, if you find out that they're causing you so much pain, i know its not easy, but for your own good, keep them at arms length. Finally, be careful who you talk to about your relationship, its better to be careful than sorry' know your circle and keep it small.

Peer Pressure

Two friends went for an armed robbery operation, so one was scared 'cos he was pressured into it, unfortunately the other friend who was already used to it shot someone dead, while the scared friend was weeping, the other friend was laughing and counting the money.
Just like the illustration above, we have in one way been like the scared friend, we've done stuff out of pressure and ended up with regrets. If a pig and a sheep got into a muddy place, the pig would relax and have fun in the mud 'cos he's used to it but the sheep would struggle to come out. Most of us are like that sheep with friends like that pig, our friends don't care about Jesus and when they fall into sin, they aren't bothered. I tell you, its better to cut off any relationship that drags you to hell, its not worth it.

Wedding Trouble

Last week ended with lots of people tying the knot and saying "I Do". We all love weddings and most of us attend although we weren't invited, which is not a bad thing tho until we get bounced lol.
My main focur today tho is on borrowing to wed, sometime ago, a couple was arrested during their wedding reception 'cos they borrowed so much money to wed. This is a true life story, you should have seen the way people fled, the couple ended up spending their first nights as married people in a cell. I get the idea of using the money gotten from wedding to make up for the money they spent or borrowed but the sad truth is that most times you get less of what you spent as most people just come to eat. We all want to have the wedding of the year forgetting that months later, most people forget what your wedding looked like.
So my question is this, are you having an extravagant wedding 'cos you want to feel among and rub it on peoples faces or because its necessary. A lady was mocked for having a dry colourless reception but today, she's living the life, the good, rich comfortable life i mean, nobody remembers that dry reception anymore. If you can't afford to serve rice on that day, then share snacks, a wedding is just for a day, the main stuff is the marriage. The people you're borrowing money to please won't be there to help you pay back or bail you.

Motivational Monday

I was going through my dresses and on that particular day, none of them felt right and i really had to go out, I thought of just staying back but knew that wasn't a very good idea. Just then i spotted two clothes that i had never matched with each other, i put on my creative hat and thought out a good way to match the clothes. Guess what? That combination became one of my favourites and people that saw it liked it too.
There are some times in life where the things we're used to doesn't really feel right and then you feel like giving up on doing anything reasonable. Well don't give up yet 'cos in times like that, that's when you should get more creative. I tell you there's a certain level of creativity in every human being, some use theirs and others don't. God has given you that creative ability, so its left for you to tap into it and make your world better. Go out this week and be creative. God bless you.

Cast Out

If you held a very important position in a highly respected and influential organization and all of a sudden, you're demoted to the lowest of the lowest position, nobody in such situation would like that and most people would look for ways to make sure that whosoever took their position would either be miserable, demoted or even sacked. No reasonable right thinking person would take an advice from such person 'cos you know that they're out to get you.
So then why do we listen to the devil knowing that everything he's doing everything to try to bring you down to his low level. The devil had since been cast out of heaven and he's working tirelessly to make sure you get cast out as well but i believe that as a right thinking person you will be smart and wise to not let that happen.
Let's not forget that Jesus Christ has already paid the price on the cross of Calvary and what is left for you is to recieve that life by accepting Jesus as your Lord and your personal saviour, if you haven't done this, please pray the prayer that ends this post. Don't listen to the devil telling you that it doesn't matter, 'cos he's obviously decieving you. There are many beautiful things in God that can only be yours if you can believe in Jesus and give your life to Him.

Stories By Nigerian University Students

When someone says "am going for night class" experience has taught me to have different things going through my mind. . Below is one of my many night class experiences. Night class for some could mean gisting time, sleeping time, chyking time, stealing time and sometimes reading time, its different strokes for different folks but on that fateful day, this guy came for the sole purpose of stealing. So it happened that this guy was going seat by seat stealing phones, he would go and sit close to someone who was asleep, guage how deep the sleep was, locate the sleepy persons phone, steal it, stand up and leave the hall. Little did he know that 99 days for the thief and 1day for the owner of the house was in fact real and that night was that 1day. Someone noticed what he was doing and immediately set a trap for him, he put his phone in a visible area and pretended to be asleep.
The thief did his normal routine and just as he was about to take the phone, this guy got up and gave him a resounding slap, i say resounding because the sound of the slap was heard by everybody and even woke some up. Lol serves you right.
Just incase you're in the university, its always safe to be alert during night class and don't go for such with devices that you know if stolen from you would cause you so much pain.

New Day

Let's imagine that you're visiting a foreign country for the first time, ofcourse you'd be nervous and excited at the same time. You don't know what it looks like or where it is but you trust the pilot to take you safely to the right place and no matter how long the journey takes, you hold still and endure.
Every new day is just like that foreign country, you've never seen this day before and today is actually your first time of seeing today. This journey lasts for 24 hours, how your day goes is determined on who your pilot is. God is the best pilot you can ever have, others can fail you and lead you to destruction, but God will not. All you have to do is to let God take control of your everyday meaning that every morning, you ask God in prayers to take control over your day. Do this every single day of your life and you'd be amazed on the great differemce it would make. To enjoy this and more, you have to be Born Again and by that it means you have give your life to Christ.
