Today on weird Wednesday I'll show you 10 amazing yet weird facts about the human body. Am still finding it hard to believe some especially number 1.

Different

Let's imagine that you live in a very hot environment, ofcourse its natural for you and sensible also to wear clothes that are free in the sense that they allow air to touch your body. Seeing a person on thick cardigan would almost be impossible as the person might just be a stranger in the land.
One day, you had to leave your land to a very cold environment, let's say you didn't know how cold that land was, so you went with your "free" clothes. Common sense let's you know that this is a different land which means that those "free" clothes wouldn't be needed here and those thick cardigans you abhorred were infact what was needed if you wanted to stay alive. Your cousin who lives in this cold land buys you thick clothes but you refuse to use it 'cos you aren't used to them, well sooner or later such person will come down with a cold which could lead to death.
Why all this illustration? Am trying to paint a picture of two worlds, the hot land being the unbelievers world and the cold being the righteous world, you can't claim to be Born Again and still act like you used to before you got saved, something in you has to change, ofcourse you can't change yourself and that's where God your cousin in the illustration comes in.
God has shown you the way to live right through His Word, The Bible and He also wants to change you but if you insist on doing it your way, you won't last long and before you know it, you're back to your old ways even more frustrated. If you say you're saved, then there should be a huge difference in your life so sit back and compare your life before and now, if you notice any good change, Thank God but if none, ask God to help you or maybe you need to pray the prayer below, if you haven't given your life to Christ at all, do well to pray the prayer too.

Bad Relationship Pattern

Am noticing a very bad pattern in my love life she said, share the story below of a lady's relationship pattern and as for her, she says its bad.

I didn't take this pattern of a thing as anything till i took out time to think of my past relationships and found that the same thing was repeating itself. My other boyfriend slept with a very close friend of mine, the other one did the same thing too, like 3 of my exes went out with my friends while we were still dating. And i tell you, it kind of bothers me 'cos my friends are not better than me to the point that the guys who profess so much love for me cheat on me with them. Funny thing is that later on, these guys still tell me about it. Now am confused, should i change my friends which would be quite difficult to do as i have known them all my life or should i stop introducing my love interest to my friends.

For me, I think you've already answered the question, change your friends. And for the record, those girls aren't your friends 'cos a friend wouldn't do such. It doesn't matter how long you've known a person, if you find out that they're causing you so much pain, i know its not easy, but for your own good, keep them at arms length. Finally, be careful who you talk to about your relationship, its better to be careful than sorry' know your circle and keep it small.

Peer Pressure

Two friends went for an armed robbery operation, so one was scared 'cos he was pressured into it, unfortunately the other friend who was already used to it shot someone dead, while the scared friend was weeping, the other friend was laughing and counting the money.
Just like the illustration above, we have in one way been like the scared friend, we've done stuff out of pressure and ended up with regrets. If a pig and a sheep got into a muddy place, the pig would relax and have fun in the mud 'cos he's used to it but the sheep would struggle to come out. Most of us are like that sheep with friends like that pig, our friends don't care about Jesus and when they fall into sin, they aren't bothered. I tell you, its better to cut off any relationship that drags you to hell, its not worth it.

Wedding Trouble

Last week ended with lots of people tying the knot and saying "I Do". We all love weddings and most of us attend although we weren't invited, which is not a bad thing tho until we get bounced lol.
My main focur today tho is on borrowing to wed, sometime ago, a couple was arrested during their wedding reception 'cos they borrowed so much money to wed. This is a true life story, you should have seen the way people fled, the couple ended up spending their first nights as married people in a cell. I get the idea of using the money gotten from wedding to make up for the money they spent or borrowed but the sad truth is that most times you get less of what you spent as most people just come to eat. We all want to have the wedding of the year forgetting that months later, most people forget what your wedding looked like.
So my question is this, are you having an extravagant wedding 'cos you want to feel among and rub it on peoples faces or because its necessary. A lady was mocked for having a dry colourless reception but today, she's living the life, the good, rich comfortable life i mean, nobody remembers that dry reception anymore. If you can't afford to serve rice on that day, then share snacks, a wedding is just for a day, the main stuff is the marriage. The people you're borrowing money to please won't be there to help you pay back or bail you.

Motivational Monday

I was going through my dresses and on that particular day, none of them felt right and i really had to go out, I thought of just staying back but knew that wasn't a very good idea. Just then i spotted two clothes that i had never matched with each other, i put on my creative hat and thought out a good way to match the clothes. Guess what? That combination became one of my favourites and people that saw it liked it too.
There are some times in life where the things we're used to doesn't really feel right and then you feel like giving up on doing anything reasonable. Well don't give up yet 'cos in times like that, that's when you should get more creative. I tell you there's a certain level of creativity in every human being, some use theirs and others don't. God has given you that creative ability, so its left for you to tap into it and make your world better. Go out this week and be creative. God bless you.

Cast Out

If you held a very important position in a highly respected and influential organization and all of a sudden, you're demoted to the lowest of the lowest position, nobody in such situation would like that and most people would look for ways to make sure that whosoever took their position would either be miserable, demoted or even sacked. No reasonable right thinking person would take an advice from such person 'cos you know that they're out to get you.
So then why do we listen to the devil knowing that everything he's doing everything to try to bring you down to his low level. The devil had since been cast out of heaven and he's working tirelessly to make sure you get cast out as well but i believe that as a right thinking person you will be smart and wise to not let that happen.
Let's not forget that Jesus Christ has already paid the price on the cross of Calvary and what is left for you is to recieve that life by accepting Jesus as your Lord and your personal saviour, if you haven't done this, please pray the prayer that ends this post. Don't listen to the devil telling you that it doesn't matter, 'cos he's obviously decieving you. There are many beautiful things in God that can only be yours if you can believe in Jesus and give your life to Him.

Stories By Nigerian University Students

When someone says "am going for night class" experience has taught me to have different things going through my mind. . Below is one of my many night class experiences. Night class for some could mean gisting time, sleeping time, chyking time, stealing time and sometimes reading time, its different strokes for different folks but on that fateful day, this guy came for the sole purpose of stealing. So it happened that this guy was going seat by seat stealing phones, he would go and sit close to someone who was asleep, guage how deep the sleep was, locate the sleepy persons phone, steal it, stand up and leave the hall. Little did he know that 99 days for the thief and 1day for the owner of the house was in fact real and that night was that 1day. Someone noticed what he was doing and immediately set a trap for him, he put his phone in a visible area and pretended to be asleep.
The thief did his normal routine and just as he was about to take the phone, this guy got up and gave him a resounding slap, i say resounding because the sound of the slap was heard by everybody and even woke some up. Lol serves you right.
Just incase you're in the university, its always safe to be alert during night class and don't go for such with devices that you know if stolen from you would cause you so much pain.

New Day

Let's imagine that you're visiting a foreign country for the first time, ofcourse you'd be nervous and excited at the same time. You don't know what it looks like or where it is but you trust the pilot to take you safely to the right place and no matter how long the journey takes, you hold still and endure.
Every new day is just like that foreign country, you've never seen this day before and today is actually your first time of seeing today. This journey lasts for 24 hours, how your day goes is determined on who your pilot is. God is the best pilot you can ever have, others can fail you and lead you to destruction, but God will not. All you have to do is to let God take control of your everyday meaning that every morning, you ask God in prayers to take control over your day. Do this every single day of your life and you'd be amazed on the great differemce it would make. To enjoy this and more, you have to be Born Again and by that it means you have give your life to Christ.

Love Suicide

Love suicide in simple terms means when a person kills themselves because of someone they love. Before i continue, if you're thinking of commiting suicide, pls don't. Things may seem unbearable but you can make it through, i believe you can.if you're brave enough to think of hurting yourself (something that scares people to death) then i think you are brave enough to face life. Whatever it is, talk to God about it in prayer, He'll surely help you. It hurts to be hurt by someone you truly love but its not worth taking your life for. I'll share this story with you and i hope you get my point.
Someone shared this story with me and permitted me to share it. According to her, she said her boyfriend had been cheating on her but she had never caught him. One day, she went to see him and guess who opened the door for her? His sidechick. The girl looked at her with disdain disdain and told her that the guy wasn't around, then banged the door immediately she turned to leave.
She came back later only to find out that the deed had already been done. According to her, she felt like hurting the guy and dying also. She however left and although it was difficult to sleep when she got back home, she forced herself 'cos staying awake and thinking could push her into doing something very regrettable. In the morning, it didn't hurt as bad as it did the day before. Today she isn't with the guy anymore and she said "imagine i did something stupid thinking that was the end of life smh".
Whatever hurt and pain you're going through due to heartbreak, pls just hold on, that's not the end of life, years down the line, you'll look back on that day and laugh.

He Cares

I don't know if this happens to you but i noticed that whenever am eating something very hot and peppery, i don't usually get the taste of anything sweet that i drink 'cos I still have that peppery feeling in my mouth, but once that stops, i enjoy whatever sweet thing am drinking better.
Life can sometimes be hot and peppery and in times like that, we tend not to see anything good in life. For us, God has done nothing good for us but i tell you that's a big lie. Whether things go well or not, something good happens to everybody everyday. The fact that you're alive and you can read this is something you should daily Thank God for.
Don't let the problems of life stop you from enjoying the sweet life Jesus died to give you and when in d hardship, sit back and count your blessings and it will surprise you what God has done. God cares. To enjoy the sweet life Christ died to give you, you must be Born again.

Covering Up Pains

Medical experts would tell you that its better to let a treat a wound before covering it. So if you had a wound and covered it immediately, there a huge possibility that the wound could get deeper and worse, thereby creating more problem. Why all this analysis about wounds? Well, i just want to drive home a point. If you've been hurt before, maybe you were betrayed or blackmailed, you should let your emotions flow, its okay to cry and talk about it.
Most times we are hurt and we just want to cover it up so that people don't think we're weak thereby hurting ourselves even more, I'll explain better with my own experience.
I was badly hurt, emotionally ofcourse, and everyday I put on a bold front, even when it was obvious I was hurting, I did this and one day I couldn't take it anymore, I broke down, I got to a point where I just had to talk about it 'cos I i felt i was losing my mind. Am naturally strong, or I love to think I am lol but there's so much even the strongest can take. So next time you're deeply hurt, i recommend that you talk to God about it in prayer, then talk to a good friend as well. Remember, its okay to cry but its not okay to remain in that hurting state, let your emotions flow all you want to but pls don't do anything stupid, get over it and get moving, the world needs a strong person like you. Safe

You know when you're under a blanket, whether the air conditioner and fan is on at the same time, you won't feel it but immediately you remove the blanket, you start to feel cold. Its common knowledge that a blanket keeps one warmer than a wrapper would.
The world as we all know is a cold place and by cold am not talking about temperature, so many cruel and horrible things happen every second and we all need a safe place. Want to know about the safest place you can ever be? In the Hands of God thats safest place ever and just like the illustration with the blanket, God shields, protects and preserves better than anything you can think of. Your wrappers(money, family and friends, strength etc)can only do little.To enjoy this and many more, you have to be God's child meaning you have to be Born again And if you haven't given your life to Christ yet please pray the prayer below..

I Am Sorry

People that love to argue and prove that they're always right and can never be wrong was the reason a journey lasted longer than it should have. So this woman was in a bus and didn't know where she was going to but refused to ask for direction, it was hours after they crossed her destination that she told the driver where she was supposed to drop.
"Madam, we've passed that place o, wait till we reach the next stop so that i can put you in another bus going there" and that was how the trouble started. This woman called her children and told them that the driver was trying to kidnap her, this was a bus filled with 12 people, i think, she told the driver to turn the bus around and take her back. After hours of shouting and wasting time, she still took another bus back, so what did she gain.
Am not saying you should let people trample on your right but you should know when you're at fault and beg (that's something people find very hard to do these days) . In the case above, it was clearly her fault. Here's another twist to this.
Someone was having chickenpox which as we all know is very itchy especially when the sun is shinning bright, when she got to her destination, she paid only to realise that the money was torn and that was her last card, she had no money left. The driver insulted and scolded her but later let her go. Ofcourse, she was at fault but she was wise enough to beg, imagine she started to raise her voice under that hot sun, your guess is good as mine.
Most of us have let so much pride overshadow our sense of reasoning that we don't even know when to say "Am Sorry". Its not that hard as it would save you a whole lot. Sit back and think of times where am sorry would have saved the day but you decided to be heady instead and how badly things turned out. Btw, all genders are guilty of this.

It's Working For Your Good

Romans8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
You sometimes have heard this and most times we quote it as well but when faced with challenges, do we really believe it? I'll share this experience of mine with you to explain better.
So my phone was seriously fluctuating, it would come on and the screen would go white, then it would go off minutes later, this really got on my nerves, that little thing got out of control and now i wasn't only pissed off but very angry, my actions i tell you were regrettable. I took the phone to a repair guy and he flashed it, guess what? I didn't lose anything serious in the phone and a feature that wasn't in the phone started working after i flashed it. I always wanted that feature, i searched online for it but couldn't get it but after that incident, i got it.
To be sincere with you, i felt ashamed , i prayed to the Lord to forgive me. There i was, acting up when actually that phone misbehaving was actually working out for my good.
There are many instances where people were cursing their cars for not coming up only to realise that if their car had come up the time they wanted it to' something terrible would have happened to them. Remember baalam and the donkey (Numbers pls do well to read it) God is wiser than everyone's wisdom put together so He knows better and if you're truly His child, remember that all things work for your good(Romans 8:28)Let's learn to trust God more. To enjoy this and many more, you have to surrender your life to Jesus and be born again, if you aren't yet born again, pls pray the prayer that ends this post .So, next time something goes wrong, have this in mind that its working for your good. Healing Not Dating

Jane, am just very unhappy" a friend said to me after a very horrible breakup, I told her sorry ofcourse and tried all I could to help but in my head am like "you should be healing not dating". Most times, we tend to jump into a relationship whenever we get hurt so that we don't feel the pains of the last breakup and that infact is the reason why there have many failed relationships. If you really loved someone, 1week isn't enough to get over them, unless you guys fell out of love.
Don't put sand into someone's food simply 'cos you don't know a place to pour the sand out, don't bring all the baggages eg lack of trust, confusion, betrayal etc into your present relationship, pls don't turn a very sweet person into a bitter person.
You can't cover pain forever, if you use another human being to cover pain, one day, it would escalate and leave one or the both of you terribly hurt. Relationship is not a do or die affair, it's better to heal properly before you get into another relationship. So in what ways can you heal? I'll talk about that next week.

Motivational Monday

If you've ever had catarrh, you can testify to the fact that you unconsciously breathe through your mouth. God has created us with two of almost everything like hands, eyes, ears, legs etc that's 'cos in His wisdom, he knew that sometimes, one might have problem, so in any case that happens, you have something else to fall back on.
So why is it that when one plan doesn't work out, we give up, if plan A doesn't work, there are 25 other alphabets remaining. You get sacked from work and all of a sudden, you get miserable and you feel you can never get a job again, no dear, you will get an even better one if get back up and have the survivor winning spirit, go out there and win. That someone abandoned you, isn't the end of the world. Yeah, i know it hurts, but they've moved on, so put back that pretty smile and shine.
Remember, winners are people that refuse to quit. Have the best week ever and God bless you.

Transformation

Did you know that 4 out of every 1000 babies are given to the wrong parents, meaning that 4 parents go home with babies that aren't theirs. Now you might be wondering how that is even possible, like how did the parents not notice. Truth be told, when babies are newly born, they don't look like their parents, but as they grow, they start to look like either of their parents. That they don't look like their parents when they're newly born doesn't change the fact that they have their parents genes and blood in them.
That my dear reader is how we are when we get newly born again, we might not notice any difference at first but as the days go by, we are daily transformed into Christ's Image. The more we grow in God, the more we become more like Him. So that you're not seeing immediate changes, doesn't mean you're not God's child, all you have to do is to spend more time in God's Presence by studying His word and just like babies, the more you grow in Gnd, the more you become like Him 2nd Corinthians 3:18

Minutes after i heard that results were out, i started having headache, I sort of lost appetite as i did a flashback of the courses i didn't do well in. As usual standing infront of the board and looking at the results of other departments to predict how mine would look even got me scared the more, then to add salt to injury, the rumours started flying round of how poorly my department faired. Whenever you go to check results , you just go to the concluding part and check if its pass o, then if it's not pass, you start doing calculations of how you'll fix it in the next semester.
Well, my very well meaning yet nosey friends didn't allow me experience that. I will just be minding my business when someone will send me my result on whatsapp, uncle you have try, well done sir. Whether you have carry overs or not, you immediately get healed of result fever after you see your result. Now i can breathe, next semester, the cycle continues.

In His Name

While growing up, we all had that sibling that acted as our mediator, whenever we needed stuffs from our parents, we would ask that sibling to help us ask our parents, and that was usually the last sibling.
I don't know how they do it, but whenever they ask for anything, it's always given to them, most times tho. And that's how we are today, we can now access God through His Son and our Lord Jesus Christ, and whatever we ask in The Name of Jesus Christ, it shall be given unto us. John 14:14 explains better
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
So next time you want to pray, you know in whose name to pray. Remember, Jesus Christ is the only way to God.

When Emotions Are Not Needed

If there's one things i've learnt, its the fact that emotions aren't needed when taking major decisions. So my phone was messing up, the earpiece wasn't showing and i had tried all the techniques but still no way, that really pissed me off and so i contemplated throwing the phone, mind you, i don't have anger management issues but devices get on my nerves faster than humans do. I didn't throw the phone btw but i was really angry, later on, it started functioning properly.
In other light, i was really so excited that i made a promise i ended up regretting. A popular saying says, don't do anything when you're angry and don't make a promise when you're happy. During thore times, believe it or not, you aren't thinking straight, so when next you want to take a major decisions, do it void of emotions, just be sober and think.

Imperfect

Remember those days when you were still learning to cook but no matter how horrible the food tasted, our parents would still eat it with smiles on their faces. Our parents did that 'cos they knew that we cooked with our hearts and it wasn't our fault that it tasted bad 'cos we were still learning. They encouraged us saying we could do better, sometimes even joining us in the kitchen to assist us.
If our parents could do this for us, why do you think that God is waiting to destroy you just 'cos you unconsciously did wrong. You can never get it right in one day, sometimes you make mistakes but God sees your heart, He knows that you're trying your best and He also knows that deep down your heart, you just want to do what's right. So if God doesn't condemn you, why should you condemn yourself. Don't let the devil win, if you've fallen, stand up and continue, one day, you'll get it right. Remember God is always willing to help you, just ask him.

Audition Trouble

What auditions are turning into is something i can't even understand, i can only blame the organizers 'cos most times, the judges don't know what goes on behind the scene. We've heard ugly stories about stuff and the true life story in today's writeup is one out of many untold experiences. Pls note that these stories are experiences of different people and if it looks anything like yours, its purely coincidental plus genders can be changed for privacy sake. The guys in charge of putting things in order were quite rude and wouldn't let you communicate with other contestants who were already auditioned. Finally, it was time for me to get auditioned and i was just outside the door waiting to be called' then this macho guy walks up to me, he's part of their team too and he asks me some questions that weren't his business and i answered him 'cos if there's one thing I've learnt, is to be respectful even to the gateman.
All of a sudden, he put his hand on my chest and said i shouldn't be scared, like he was trying to calm me down, as if it wasn't enough, he asked me to kiss him, i smiled and said no, he said it was a good luck kiss something like that, i was so happy when the door opened and i was ushered in. We were the only ones on the corridor and that was why he was able to go unnoticed and in my mind am imagining how many people he did the same to and how far he was able to go with them.
Its people like this that spoil the beauty of auditions reporting the culprit isn't something most people would want to do 'cos for them, its normal, how sickening. All you can do is to shun them and to the organizers , auditions are not for bedwarmer hunting.
