Permit me to use the illustration to drive home my point.
There were two sons who brought valuable things to their father at the end of every month. They did this not as a gift offering but as a mandatory offering meaning that they weren't doing their father a favour by giving those valuables as it was just their way of showing their father what they had done with what he gave them. They did themselves a great favour being giving back 'cos that meant double blessings. One day, after they had given their gifts, the father preferred one's valuables over another but told the other whose wasn't pleasing what he could do to make his more pleasing but rather than than change, the latter got angry, jealous and stubborn and killed his brother.
How could he be so stupid right? Well, don't be so quick to judge 'cos most of us, are just like that although i doubt if we'd murder anybody. How? you may ask, allow me to explain . Let's imagine that your dad gave you and your siblings cloths to wash and when you returned the cloths to him, he praises your sibling but he rebukes you for not washing the cloths properly. Most of us would say next time he should come and see if i'd wash his clothes again, '' he should better give it to my brother that washes better". But in your mind, you know you washed nonsense but instead of you to change, you resort to unecessary anger, jealousy and stubborness. When you know that you've been corrected for what you did wrong, don't throw tantrums, just change and move on. Don't let stubbornness and unwillingness to change be the reason you get stuck in life
